CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITY

A COMMON BOND

ALL CHILDREN  MATTER

As societal ills worsen, we are witnessing a steady and inevitable rise of negative attitudes and emotions of our youth, including feelings of hopelessness, apathy, self-hatred and the desire to disconnect from reality. Due to increasing violence in our society, children have been influenced by film, television, music, electronic games, and their living environments. Many children in their communities, experience different forms of death including homicide, patricide, matricide, infanticide, genocide, and suicide, that plagues our communities. Many children who have witnessed these atrocities often suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a mental health condition is triggered in some individuals because of their having experienced horrific events in their lives. Sometimes the PTSD results in children acting out some of the violent behaviors they have learned from the atrocities they have witnessed.

These ills in our communities come in all forms and negatively impact community members in key areas, including race, class, gender, culture, education, environment and age. As a collective, we of Children Working To Save Our Planet are attempting to address as many of these ills as possible through careful examination of several social and family issues, such as gang violence, teenage drunk driving, drug abuse, child abuse, rape, abandonment, peer pressure, teen pregnancy and teen struggles with gender identity and sexuality.

There are 1.9 Billion children on the Planet. We are inviting children from around the world to come and attend Children's Educational Bowl. When a child is placed in the right learning environment the results are positive, and the child will show the natural gifts the universe has placed in the nature of the child.

Children Working To Save Our Planet is collaborating with various skilled educational agencies that already exist in a particular community, and are working locally to make a positive difference in children’s daily lives. Examples of such agencies include the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Parks & Recreation Department, Schools, After-School programs, Music Schools and Art Schools, Foster Care and others willing to improve the quality of life for young people.

Prior to the festival, there will be collaborative and interrelated activities done by many organizations at their places of learning and training for children around the world. These activities will incorporate education, music, and art as part of these organizations' endeavor to make a positive change in the lives of our children. After a season or school year of developmental work and activities, the culminating event will be the coming together of participating organizations at the annual Children’s Educational Bowl.

Every child will celebrate their own personal achievements; Moreover, they will be able to come together and celebrate with their peers as a community from all over the globe. Each child will observe and be shown their own personal value, and worth.

Be a part of our family and join the team with any positive support you are willing to donate or sponsor our first annual event...
