Education projects are part of our community initiatives strategy, we try to collaborate with local schools as part of our development program. The projects raise awareness of construction, health and safety and affordable housing, with participation of classroom presentations, school projects and site visits that continue to grow.

Children and their families were shown around the site and one of the newly completed houses and everyone enjoyed estimating how many bedrooms, bathrooms etc they would find in the house. A few parents commented that this had been a great experience for the children and how they had thoroughly enjoyed their visit developing their skills for learning, life and work..

Having the Children along for a site visit gave us the opportunity to add another dimension to their education outside the classroom. Hopefully, they learned more about what we do at Children Working to Save Our Planet, while giving some of them the inspiration to pursue a career in the construction industry. The children who visited were a credit to their school and teacher, I’m sure they enjoyed themselves, we certainly did.”

In our progress, there is a large new supply housing program. This allows us to meet the growing need for affordable housing, and help sustain communities, it also provides many opportunities to deliver a range of community benefits in local areas..

Children Working To Save Our Planet has combined forces with General Contractors in Southern California who help to provide skilled laborers who teach the children how to run cable and piping, hammer in nails, place screws in planks, and hang sheet rock.   The children's  primary goal is to make  affordable housing.

Children being a good listener and being able to ask questions are valuable skills to have in the building trade, which of course prompted lots of questions.  Everyone decided they wanted to be a builder when they grew up.

Children Working To Save Our Planet development department, organized a site visit, where we build affordable housing, the children met with staff and were shown around the site. Before going on site, the children were all fitted out with high visibility jackets and miniature hard hats, which got everyone excited and added to the experience.

Children Working To Save Our Planet Support team is utilizing Construction and Charity for  Children with our Building Communities Fund.

Children Working To Save Our Planet has a department designed to help children and families across Southern California to prevent harm from coming to vulnerable and abused children, to support families, keeping children safe and helping children recover from traumatic and abusive experiences.  Most deprived areas, with vulnerable children across the region, making a huge difference to their lives through Construction for Children. The Building Communities Fund was established to enhance the ongoing efforts to help organizations and projects which enhance the lives of people within their local communities. By helping rebuild their own neighborhoods and providing a home for the homeless and less fortunate.

Various Community groups, sports teams and schools whose work is instrumental in communities with Developing Housing that are currently under construction in Southern California.
